SHIGEYA MIYATA

DESIGNER

Born in Tokyo and educated at Saint Martin’s College in London, Shigeya graduated in 2016. His journey in product design began with nendo, where he worked on a diverse array of products including smartphones, furniture, playground equipment, fine art, and cosmetics. In 2019, he launched his own company, “ooooo.”

Shigeya's design philosophy centers on collaborating with a wide range of professionals to gain a broader perspective on each product. This approach enhances the potential for innovative design solutions and is viewed as crucial for the future of design. His objective as a product designer is to create products that go beyond mere functionality.

Miyata's unique approach extends beyond functionality, aligning seamlessly with Stylistic's philosophy. The HARI collection itself bears a distinctive mark of excellence.Named after the ancient Japanese word for ‘glass,’ the collection took three years of meticulous research and development to bring to fruition. It features an exquisite array of elegant lamps, a sophisticated alarm clock, and a cutting-edge speaker. Each piece highlights the collection’s signature glass finish, reflecting exceptional craftsmanship that transcends mere functionality.With a range of colors and two distinctive glass finishes, achieved through an impeccable production process, this collection distinguishes itself from all others.
